St Catherines Hospital

In March 2012 we were awarded the contract to supply all the external and internal signage requirements for this New Build Hospital, through Vinci Construction.

In March 2012 we were awarded the contract to supply all the external and internal signage requirements for this New Build Hospital, through Vinci Construction.

Our total project management approach involves close client contact throughout, this was managed every step of the way from initial consultation meetings with the building contractors, and architects to discuss the design, positioning, size, and the impact of the new signage through to installation.

Full size samples were provided and temporarily installed to make sure that every aspect of the signage was correct and to our customers full satisfaction as well as our customers client.

Substantial detailed drawings and team briefings ensured that the design manufacture and installation of the signs was planned and executed very smoothly on time and as anticipated.

The design of the signage was based on the information given and meetings with our client, working closely with them every step of the way, we also had to take into consideration planning concerns and restrictions.

The main external sign consists of 3D Built Up Halo illuminated letters that result in a stunning display that captures the innovative contemporary design of the new building.

The most challenging aspect was the high-level sign mainly due to its size and position on the building, this was followed through by all the external Way Finding signs that had to comply with planning regulations and the NHS Wirral trust corporate design and logo.
Internal Signage
  • Directional signs for all departments including braille and tactile
  • Reception area signs, Door Signs, Slot Panel signs
  • Window graphics internally installed for external impact
  • Fret cut main sign for Greenway Medical Centre within the main building of the hospital

We were instructed to design a timeline displaying the history of the hospital on digitally printed vinyl and wall panels to create a visually stunning and informative display across a large area in the main entrance to the hospital.

Our experienced installation team worked in detail to position the graphics correctly in relation to the fabric of the building. We were delighted to be part of such an exciting project and our extensive knowledge of materials and manufacturing techniques enabled us to develop and enhance the original brief to produce quality signage that we delivered on time and within budget.

From start to finish the St Catherines Hospital project was a test of the skills and expertise of the team at Brimark Signs, we thrive on challenges and jobs like these really show off the versatility of our company and the way we work to deliver what our clients expect from us, the signage completed for St Catherines Hospital added to our growing list of very successful projects.

‘Brimark Signs were professional and proactive in their approach to the Graphic & Way Finding Package on the St. Catherine’s Scheme. Their experienced and professional Team enabled works to be implemented with minimal impact to ‘others’ whilst working to short deadlines. I would not hesitate in using their service and products on future schemes.’
